GTA - Red Lips feat. Sam Bruno (Skrillex Remix)

We spotted yet another one of House of Malakai's pieces in Skrillex's remix video to Red Lips. The video features actress Anya Taylor Joy as she battles against creepy double-jointed creatures. She looks absolutely stunning in House of Malakai's couture headpiece from the Hybrid Collection. The visual curation behind "Red Lips" is extremely captivating, a perfect blend between sci-fi and horror, and House of Malakai's piece perfects the overall mood of the the video. Check out the Red Lips video below and be sure to stop by the Muse0 showroom to see more of House of Malakai's remarkable pieces!

FKA TWIGS!

In honor of our designer of the week – HENRIK VIBSKOV, we decided to dedicate this blog post to FKA TWIGS who is a fan of Mr. Vibskov. The Singer, songwriter, producer and dancer FKA is known for her music and eccentric sense of style. Whether she's in bold prints, gold embellishments, or even rainbow feathers, the singer is always fashion-forward and fierce. Here at MUSEØ we are definitely a fan of FKA’s style and music!

Here FKA is spotted out and about in NYC wearing Henrik Vibskov’s matching oversized top and shorts.

Here FKA is spotted at the Surface Magazine Event in Miami wearing a cross-print Henrik Vibskov shirtdress.

One of our favorite songs to play in our showroom by FKA is “Two Weeks.” Described as "a beguilingly straight-laced cut of silken R&B" and "a commanding blast of raw sexual power", this music video features FKA twigs portraying a giant goddess surrounded by miniature dancers. This song has been out for a while but if you haven’t heard it already take a listen!

Henrik Vibskov

Henrik Vibskov as merely a fashion designer would be a vast understatement. As a multifaceted artist, passionate musician, innovative stage designer, and head of his trendsetting eponymous fashion label he is at the vanguard of a new generation of creative multi-taskers. As is indicative of this new type of renaissance designer, Vibskov has succeeded in establishing a unique signature style that is recognizable across all of the diverse disciplines in which he works.

As a fashion designer Henrik Vibskov has produced over 26 men's (and later also women’s) collections since he graduated from Central St. Martins in 2001, and as a member of the Chamber Syndicale de la Mode Masculine he is currently the only Scandinavian designer on the official show schedule of the Paris Men's Fashion Week, which he has been since January 2003.

RAD HOURANI

Rad Hourani's clothing brand has been showcased in MUSEØ from the very beginning! Since launching in 2007, Hourani's designs have become recognized as the first unisex haute couture line. The uniformity of his collection has such a distinctive language that it defies convention. Using principles of architecture to create his pieces, rad Hourani constantly works with an eye to how a garment will perform in movement. like origami, his patterns appear to have their own magic folds that enable his philosophy to emerge so that those who wear his garments feel comfortable, powerful and beyond time. What Hourani strongly emphasizes most about the conception of his line, is the differentiation between unisex and androgynous, two terms that most people use interchangeably: “Androgyny is a style,” he said. “Unisex is erasing all limitations.”

Check out some of his pieces that are available in our showroom!

FLASHBACK to when it all began!

Let’s take it back to the beginning, when MUSEØ first opened its doors to the world. Art Basel 2015 was our first interaction with the crowd…and what a crowd it was! Art Basel provides a platform for artists from all over the world to come to Miami to show and sell their work, giving them access to collectors, museum directors and curators. So there was no better time to introduce ourselves and to show what we were up to.

The fashion show was epic! We expanded the "boundaries" of fashion, broke a few rules, produced our vision and introduced some amazing emerging designers from all over the globe. We had a full house that night with a few surprised guests and even the rap artist Fabulous came to support us opening night, with a front row seat to experience all the magic.

The importance of this moment was more than just a fashion show; this was our way of starting a movement and making a statement that we are here to expand society’s views on art and fashion. Here at MUSEØ, we summon creativity onto a place where art and fashion come back to “zero”. Style is not defined by society, but by the Muse itself (the consumer) and the extreme western rules of gender are no longer valid.

If you didn’t get a chance to make it to the show, don’t worry, we’ve got you covered! Below we’ve posted PART 1 of the show and in this video you will see amazing designs from emerging designers Ab Hombre, Anika Olive, Art Speaks, DeVaun Robinson, Khan Designs, Kikimora Studios, Kimberly Jenneskens, Yardens Roe, and Zenidas.

Stay tuned for our blog post and video about PART 2 of the show! Also keep up with our blog as we post daily about photo shoots, events, fashion shows, interviews and more!

Influenced by high fashion, science, and archaeology, Malakai's designs are extremely innovative and beyond his time. His ability to fuse his high fashion influences within couture and ready-to-wear pieces is truly a gift.
