The company was founded by Ermenegildo in 1910,
capitalising on the looms owned by his father, Angelo. Five years later it changed its name to Fratelli Zegna
di Angelo, finally taking on its present name in the Forties under Ermenegildo,
when it began its transformation into a truly global brand. Today it has a £841m
turnover and 500 stores around the world. Last year, the business grew by more
than ten per cent.
